    Head of Housekeeping

    Liz Franklin

    Liz is the Housekeeper and is in charge of making sure the house is comfortable and clean for all of our guests. She orders all of  the food and cooks delicious breakfasts and lunches, ensuring all visitors have a nutritious and balanced diet.

    Domestic Assistant

    Tracey Moran

    Tracey is one of  our domestic assistants and she works hard to keep Gorsefield house looking clean and tidy. She enjoys chatting to all of our visitors and ensuring they feel at home.

    Activity Instructor

    Steve Mullins

    For the past 8 years, Steve has had fun working with children of all ages and abilities, as a TA and LSA
    in primary schools and nursery, as a private tutor and a workshop leader. He loves to pass on what
    he has learned during his time on planet Earth and believes that everyone can enjoy learning. He has
    a degree in chemistry, is a trained actor and has recently started performing his own poetry. He
    loves the outdoors and nature, just how much is summed up in a poem he wrote during lockdown
    titled 'Nature'.

  • Daniel Yates
    Activity Instructor

    Daniel Yates

    Outdoor junky and tree monkey. Danny's first outdoor experiences was inspired by
    Lofty Wiseman's 'SAS Guide', this provided much outdoor fun and entertainment.
    From this he continues to deepen his knowledge in all aspects of outdoor activity and
    education.
    He has worked with young people and adults from a variety of needs and
    backgrounds over many years, and now combines this with his love of all things
    outdoors to deliver authentic outdoor experiences that inspires participants.
    He enjoys reading, snowboarding, tree climbing, scouting, bushcraft, wild camping,
    sketching/doodling and cooking.

    Activity Instructor

    Simon Payne

    Simon enjoys working with children and has done for the past 18 years, he works mainly with
    Primary School children providing fun and engaging Maths Workshops.  Simon likes hands on
    activities and enjoys being out side. He also enjoys having a good joke.

  • Helen Payne
    Activity Instructor

    Helen Payne

    Helen has been delivering bushcraft sessions to children, young people and adults for almost 15
    years. An Accredited Practioner with the Institute of Outdoor Learning and a Guide Leader of 12
    years, she has a wealth of experience and knowledge in delivering bushcraft sessions to children.
    Helen is the founder of Discover Bushcraft, and very much looking forward to seeing you all in the
    woods.
